Such arrangements will therefore require approximately two additional weeks of staff time to implement these tasks, as well as administer the subcontractor proposal solicitation process necessary to secure the most accurate pricing submittals possible. As such and as referenced in the attached memorandum from REG, city staff, as well as representatives from REG, Suffolk Construction and Capp Custom Builders have decided to reschedule respective recommendations to City Council from August 27th to your September 24th regular meeting. Concurrently, the groundbreaking celebration has been rescheduled to take place Thursday September 25th circa 1:30 p.m. This preconstruction timeframe does not alter the project completion schedule, as we are still in position to conclude the program in Fall 2004. An advertisement welcoming residents to join us at the groundbreaking will be published in the Press Journal Newspaper a week or so in advance of the ceremony. Each of you may therefore feel free to adjust your schedules accordingly.
