A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, SUPPORTING RECOVERY EFFORTS FOR HURRICANE CHARLEY
VICTIMS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE FUNDING
FOR APPROPRIATE COSTS RELATING TO REQUESTED AID RESPONSE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

THIS MEETING WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND MA Y NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM
RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL

IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA), ANYONE WHO NEEDS A SPECIAL
ACCOMMODATION FOR THIS MEETING SHOULD CONTACT THE CITY'S ADA COORDINATOR A T 589-5330
AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THIS MEETING.
RESOLUTION NO. R-04-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, SUPPORTING RECOVERY EFFORTS FOR HURRICANE CHARLEY
VICTIMS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE FUNDING
FOR APPROPRIATE COSTS RELATING TO REQUESTED AID RESPONSE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, communities devastated by Hurricane Charley on August 13, 2004 need our support in
the form of manpower for disaster recovery; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to contribute to the effort by sending personnel to assist in the disaster
recovery; and
WHEREAS, the City shall provide financial support for City personnel who assist in the effort.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN,
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. City personnel are hereby authorized to assist where they are requested in the
recovery efforts for Hurricane Charley in communities of Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Hardee, Hendry,
Highlands, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and Volusia Counties as assigned by the
City Manager.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to allocate funding for appropriate costs
relating to the requested aid response for missions requested prior to November 1,2004.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
