I found the min. from Aug. 2, 2004 Charles Cardinale met us at the Englar St. storm water run-off site { I don't know the exact name of the place) Ralph Brown led us on a tour of the area. He explained they still need to add the pump station. The entire area is 165 acres, with a preserve for scrub jay and gopher tortoise. St. John's will probably work here for about 1 more year. before turning it over to the city to maintain. St. John's is trying to get civic groups involved to plant ponds with wetland vegetation, cutting and maintains trails, helping with signs to explain the storm water run-off, the problems with run-off and other projects. After we walked the trails, he took us by car to the other sections and explained how the water will re-enter the canals. We thanked Ralph for his time and said the tree board would be interested in helping maintain the area. We closed the meeting about 6:30pm. As we were getting ready to depart, Henry Madsen arrived and said he would take the tour himself. See you tonight. Thank you for adding Cathy Fulton to the agenda.
