OLD BUSINESS:
Arbor Day Celebration. The suggested theme was "Florida's Hot, Trees are Cool". It
was decided that the project for the celebration would be an art project (drawing or
painting). Any medium could be used but must be on an 8 % x 11" paper. There was no
decision on the age / grade restriction at this time. Ms. Bennett will check with art
teachers of the older grades to see if there would be interest. Ms. Albury will check with
Cathy Fulton to see about donations of prizes from Macho. It was suggested that Mr.
Therrien be invited to the Arbor Day celebration. It was also suggested that we have a
guest book at the Celebration and encourage people to sign it.
NEW BUSINESS:
Pelican Island Elementary School is having their rummage sale on Sat., January 8th.
This is the event were the pine saplings will be distributed. The trees come bare root, in
bundles. Ms. Dann will contact Mr. McCarthy regarding the details of ordering the trees
and picking them up. Board members do not need to be at this event.
