took delivery of 2000 small trees from the state nursery. Chris McCarthy handled the
details of getting money from the City to pay for the trees. The event went well. The

Bonnie Swanson is no longer the Principal at the Elementary School. We will have a
guest book at the event.
Mary Bennett is having to go through the School Board to get permission to involve the
schools. Reverend Isner, Reverend Thomas and Reverend Susan Bubbers will be
contacted about doing the Invocation. Mary will call the Junior High about the art contest
and see if they want to participate.
The Board Secretary will get the permission slips to Charles Cardinale for distribution to

Lynn will contact the high school about ROTC doing the Presentation of Colors.
Mary Bennett or Henry Madsen will be the announcer during the event.
At the next meeting we will discuss the invitation list and the press release. The agenda,

Charles Cardinale wanted to schedule time that the Board could practice using the tree
sticks. It was decided that at the next meeting, February 7th, the Board would meet at
5:00pm to practice for'/ hour before the regular meeting.
It was discussed about nominating the Hardee tree for National Heritage Tree list. It
would have a better chance being a heritage tree instead of a Champion tree. Where
and how do we do this? Chris McCarthy will contact Dan Culbert about how to proceed.
