HomeMy WebLinkAbout01242005 RECRecreation Committee Meeting Minutes City of Sebastian Recreation Advisory Committee January 24, 2005 Called to order by the Chairman: Roll Call: The following members were present William ingul, Jayne Barczyk, Jessica Keaton, and Mrs. Jeannie Jessup, Elizabeth Gray and Michelle Merlin were absent excused Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy, Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Terry Hill, Public Works Director Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of October 25, 2004 was made with corrections by Mrs. Barczyk, second Mr. Ingui Passed unanimously. Old Business: Mr. Ingui asks when the foundation will be poured on the Snowshoe house. Mr. Hill states should be done within the next few months. Mrs. Barczyk asks what the use will be. Mr. Hill says the house will be put back to original condition before a use can be decided. Mrs. Barczyk wants the playground for special needs to be at Friendship Park first before anywhere else in the City. Mr. Ingui says will need pads, easels and markers for the Saturday number. New Business: Admission for Clay Courts how will it be figured. Chris states proposed for $2.00 day, $3 at night for residents $4 for non-residents. Mrs. Barczyk says she feels it is too cheap and will the courts be locked. Chris states nothing has been settled yet and yes the courts will be locked. Chairman reminds everyone about the Sat -January 29th Workshop No Public Comment Staff comments — None Next meeting will be March 14th in the old council chambers Meeting adjourned at 6PM.
