Marsha gave an update to the Board on Arbor Day. She has calls into both Ranger
Hicks and Christine Kelly about speaking at Arbor Day. She has not heard back from
either so she will call them both again. The Board reviewed and updated the invitation
list. Marsha will check with Mary Bennett on an Invocation speaker.
Changes were discussed regarding the art contest rules & regulation / permission
slip. Charles will get with the Board secretary to make appropriate changes to the
permission slip. After changes are made, the Board secretary will forward to Marsha to
have copies made.
Mary sent an e-mail stating that she got approval from Indian River School Board for the
art contest. The Board secretary will let Mary know about the nine (9) pdzes that we will
get from Macho and ask if the middle school is going to participate.
After much discussion the Board agreed on requesting three (3) Live Oaks and three (3)
Maple trees to be planted for the event. The Board secretary will let Chds McCarthy
know of this request. The Board also asked if we could get some saplings to distribute
to the public at the event.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
MEMBER MATTERS:
No member matters.
STAFF MATTERS:
Board secretary, Donna Cyr, suggested that the Board start meeting in one of the
conference rooms because it is hard to hear board member talking and everyone is so
spread out. All board members agreed. It was decided that the May meeting will be
held in one of the conference rooms. The board secretary will make the arrangements.
