Recreation Advisory Committee
July 25, 2005
Called to order by the Chairman:
Roll Call: The following members were present
William Ingui, Michelle Merlin, Gary Barth, Mrs. Keaton was absent
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy, Parks
and Recreation Superintendent, and Terry Hill, Public Works Director
Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of June 27, 2005 meeting as
amended was made by Mrs. Merlin second by Mr. Ingui passed unanimously.
Old Business: NONE
New Business:
1) Review and Edit letter — concensus to approve as recommended. Mr. Hill says the
VA will be given space in the old City Hall building, and a gentleman by the
name of Clark Olmstead owns the north building of the shopping center.
Secretary to schedule chairman for the August 10th City Council meeting.
2) Postponed to next meeting. Next meeting scheduled for August 22"d at 5PM
No Public Input.
Members Comments: Mr. Ingui speaks regarding the Cain house and his ideas for repairs
and use.
Chairman reads his letter to council on the Cain House for the committee.
Chris recommends contacting Ruth Standbridge regarding grants and usage. He stated the
Florida Dept of States gives grant money for this kind of thing.
He stated that no FRDAP funds can be used.
A motion to approve the letter was made by Mrs Merlin second Mr. Barth passed
unanimously.
