TREE AND LANDSCAPE ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, OCTOBER 3rd, 2005 - 5:30 P.M.
1. Chairperson Albury called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. Pledge of allegiance was recited.
3. ROLL CALL:

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

"I make a motion to accept the September 12,2005 minutes as printed."
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS:
No announcements.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
Discussion on ChamDion Tree Clinic set for October 22. 2005. Mr. Lagin updated the
board on the status of the champion tree award program. He recited the four names of
the citizens that would be receiving the City's proclamation. Chairperson Albury filled in
the form that would be submitted to the City indicating the Champion tree. Mr. Lagin
also let Mr. McCarthy know that the Board would be needing two (2) tables, 60 chairs, a
coffee pot, podium and sound system. The Board was updated on the speakers and
media notices/articles.

Landscaoe Code UDdate. The code goes before Council on Oct. 12, 2005 for first
reading, it then goes to Council for public hearing then back to Council for second
reading and adoption. It should happen some time in November.
2005/2006 Work Plan. There was discussion on the work plan. It was discussed about
picking a date in February to go to visit the saub jay habitat. No date was set. A letter
needs to be written to the school to see if we can go out there.
At the November meeting we will be choosing a chairman for Arbor Day.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
8. MEMBER MATTERS:
No member matters.
10. STAFF MATTERS:
Mr. McCarthy informed the board that we received the Grant for the trees ($37,000).
Don't expect any trees until December or early January. The Board Secretary informed
the board that in the not to distant future all Board meeting would be televised.
11. ADJOURNMENT:
Chairperson Albury adjourned the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
