Morris called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by V.c. Morris. ROLL CALL: Present: V.c. Morris Mrs. Carbano Mr. Conover Ms. Lanning Mr. Widup Mr. Dalessandro Mr. Hosey Absent: Ch. Garland, excused APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Meeting held 8/8/06. MOTION: CarbanolWidup I make a motion we approve the minutes of meeting held 8/8/06 as written. A voice vote was taken - passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: Thomson * Prometric Exam: All applicants were sworn by V.C. Morris. French, Richard K./Exterior Surface Coating MOTION: Carbano/Conover I make a motion we approve Richard French to take the Exterior Surface Coating Exam. ROLL CALL: Mrs. Carbano - yes Mr. Conover - yes Ms. Lanning - yes Mr. Widup - yes Mr. Dalessandro - yes V.c. Morris - yes Mr. Hosey - yes Motion carries 7 - O. Shapiro, JosefD./Hurricane Protection Mr. Shapiro was not present at the meeting. Crawford, Christopher/Irrigation Mrs. Carbano asked Mr. Crawford if Laura Crawford, who notarized the verification papers was a relative. Mr. Crawford said she was his soon to be ex-wife. She explained that legally Laura Crawford could not notarize his signature. MOTION: Conover/Hosey I make a motion that when new notarized letters of verification of experience (4 documents) are given to the board secretary and signed offby one board member that the exam registration be given to Mr. Crawford. ROLL CALL: Ms. Lanning - yes Mr. Widup - yes Mr. Dalessandro - yes V.c. Morris - yes Mrs. Carbano - yes Mr. Conover - yes Mr. Hosey - yes Motion carries 7 - O. Hamilton, William C./Tile & Marble MOTION: Dalessandro/Carbano I make a motion we approve Mr. Hamilton to take the Tile & Marble Exam. ROLL CALL: Mr. Widup - yes Mr. Dalessandro - yes V.C. Morris - yes Mrs. Carbano - yes Mr. Conover - yes Ms. Lanning - yes Mr. Hosey - yes Motion carried 7 - O. VIOLATION HEARINGS: A memo was given to the board members from Wayne Eseltine, Building Director/Official stating that due to the threat of Hurricane Ernesto and the lateness of the violation hearings being served, an extension was granted for the following hearings: David C. Becker, Aluminum Unlimited 513 Cross Creek Circle Ken Lundy, Anchor Aluminum 1565 Quiescent Lane Steve Lundy, Lundy's Screen Rooms 170 Joy Haven All three are in violation of the Code of Ordinances: 26-172(1), willful disregard of building codes.
