R-06-27 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO FEES AT THE SEBASTIAN MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE; AUTHORIZING THE GOLF COURSE DIRECTOR TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES; PROVIDING FOR AMORTIZATION OF MEMBERSHIPS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council, at its 12/13/06 rneeti1la:lopted Resolution R-02-37 re- establishing a golf course fee structure; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and Golf Course Director believes another minor none- rate modification needs to be made to the Resolution governing golf fees; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP RATES. Commencing with memberships for the year 2006-2007, or until amended; the annual membership fees for the Sebastian Municipal Golf Course shall be as follows: Sebastian Resident Family Single $930 - $1,030 $650 - $750 Family Single N on-Resident $1,135 - $1,235 $865 - $965 Family membership means a married couple residing together an all dependents living at home under the age of twenty-one years (21) of age. Proof of residency is required to obtain Sebastian Resident Annual rates. All of the above rates ranges are subject to a 7% sales tax. Renewal of an existing membership is due on or before October 15t of each year. Section 2. MEMBER DAILY RATES. Section 4. ADJUSTMENTS. The hours and conditions set forth in Sections Two and Three may be adjusted at the discretion of the Director of Golf, due to amount of play and area competitive conditions. The Director of Gold Golf is authorized to establish the rate within the approved range due to amount of play and area competitive conditions. The Director of Golf is authorized to advertise, and/or promote use of the Golf Course within the promotions budget account and, with the approval of the City Manager, offer special promotional rates and match special rates being promoted by competitors within the area. 4 Section 5. MEMBERSHIP REFUND POLICY. Membership refund will only apply to medical disabilities and loss of life. Prior to January 1 st, full proration of membership fee and taxes (i.e., December 1st refund equals 10/12 of membership fees and taxes). After January 1St, and prior to April 1St, 50% refund of unused balance (i.e., February 1st refund shows four (4) months unused, 50% of 8 Months fees and taxes refunded). After April 1 st, no refunds. Section 6. REPEAL. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are repealed. Section 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage, and continues in effect unless changed by Resolution of the City Council of Sebastian, Florida.
