Other Officials Present: Indian River County: Supervisor of Elections, Kay Clem; SOE Attorney, Brian Connelly; Chief Deputy Supervisor of Elections, Cathy Hart; Absentee Ballot Coordinator, Marge Diehl, IT Manager, Chris Wilson. City of Vero Beach Canvassing Board Members City of Fellsmere Canvassing Board Town of Orchid Canvassing Board Other Elections staff were also present. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. and Supervisor of Elections staff provided seven provisional ballots for Sebastian. They also provided a copy of the Ballot Balance Sheet dated 3/15/06 (see attached), a Report on Conduct of Election Questionnaire to fill out a for the State Division of Elections (see copy of completed form attached), and Provisional Ballots -Guidelines for Counting/Not Counting Ballots (see attached). On motion by Mr. Stringer, and second by Mr. Minner, the March 14, 2006, Canvassing Board Minutes were approved on a voice vote of 3-0. The Canvassing Board reviewed the seven provisional ballots and accepted six and rejected one due to the fact that the voter was from precinct 101 which is not a City precinct, Following canvass of provisional ballots, the boards moved to the counting room for the final count of election results including provisional ballots. Final results were counted, printed and signed off by the Canvassing Board. Two members of the Canvassing Board returned to the counting room to begin the cert~cation process for the official results and once the ballot box was sealed the third member (Stringer) returned and all three members certified two original Certificate of Canvassing Board Official Returns (see attached). The Supervisor of Elections provided the Canvassing Board with copies of the final results by precinct. At 8:45 a.m. the Sebastian Canvassing Board meeting adjourned.
