A voice vote was taken -passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: Thomson * Prometric Exam Durwin, Michael C./Limited Painting Ch. Garland swore in Mr. Durwin. Garland swore in Mr. Lutz. MOTION: Hosey/Widup I make a motion to allow Robert Lutz to take the residential construction exam. ROLL CALL: Mr. Widup -yes Ch. Garland -yes Mr. Dalessandro -yes Mrs. Carbano -yes Ms. Canning -yes Mr. Hosey -yes Mr. Bulla -yes Motion carries 7 - 0. BUILDING OFFICIAL MATTERS: None ATTORNEY MATTERS: Discussion of ordinance update. Mrs. Carbano said she did not agree with a journeyman having to pay a $100.00 application fee. She felt the fee was too high just to get a journeyman's card. She felt it should stay at $75.00. The Board agreed. It was noted that the annual fee for the competency card was to have been raised from $30.00 to $50.00. It was still showing $30.00. The Board felt it was probably a typo and changed it to $50.00. Attorney Stringer recommended an addition to Sec. 26-175, sub-paragraph (d), "in an action at law," add, "and the city shall be entitled to collect reasonable costs and attorney fees for said action." MOTION: Lanning/Widup I make a motion we accept the changes to the ordinance as proposed by Mr. Stringer along with corrections and additions we requested: For the record, under Sec. 2, 26-167, change journeyman from $100.00 to $75.00; under competency card, sub-sec. (3), that will go from $30.00 to $50.00 and under Sec. 4, 26-175, sub-sec. (d), we will add after "in an action at law" and the city shall be entitled to reasonable costs and attorney fees for such action. Attorney Stringer told the Board that the changes to the ordinance would be going to City Council for adoption. He said that Mr. Eseltine was also going to be changing some other fees. Upon approval from the Board, these changes would go to City Council at the same time the new ordinance goes. BOARD MATTERS: Mr. Hosey told the Board that he was going to be taking a test to obtain another license and asked what he was suppose to do since he was a Board Member. Attorney Stringer said that at the meeting he would state he would not be voting and why and then at the end of the meeting he would sign a Conflict of Interest form.
