HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-07-11ORDINANCE 0-07-11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 2-240 AND ADDING SECTION 2-241 TO CREATE THE NATURAL RESOURCES BOARD; PROVIDING FOR INITIAL COMPOSITION, CONFLICT AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council, through consultation with the subject bodies, has decided that the public will benefit from the synergy and efficiencies that will result from merging the Temporary Environmental Advisory Committee with the Tree and Landscape Advisory Board to create a Natural Resources Board; and WHEREAS, the Council desires that current members of said bodies maintain positions with the newly-created board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That section 2-240 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Sebastian, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 2-240 Natural Resources Board~reation. INITIAL C.oMPaSITIOI`+T. Notwithstanding the numerical desigpations set forth in Section l above, the initial membership of the Natural Resources Board shall be comprised of all eXisting members of both the Tree and Landscape Advisory Board together with the Temporary Environmental Advisory Committee, with such members maintaining their eXlst-ilg Status a.' regular Car alternate filCrmbers of the ne~v Board. Sectian 5. EFFECTIVE l<2ATlE. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.
