Evelyn was born May 11, 1927, in Danville, Illinois to Fred and Nellie Tuttle. Evelyn was marred to John R. Doney on September 22, 1946 and had four children, Susan Doney Bart J. Doney, John Doney. Thomas Fred Doney, and Jeffrey Evelyn's hobbies included gardening and camping. She also enjoyed seafood and going shrimping. Evelyn was an active member at her church, she loved her God and her church. Predeceased by husband Jack after 47 years of marriage, son Jeffrey, grandson Brian, and granddaughter Traci, she is survived by her daughter Susan (Richard) Hickman, sons Bart (Ranae Pettijohn) Doney and Thomas (Cynthia) Doney; daughter-in-law Sheila; 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
