Savone ••86'• Peter A. Savone died January 23, 2007 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL. He was born and raised In New York City. In WWII he joined the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Nestor, became highest rating (10/5/42) and held First Class Gunners Mate. Honorable discharge February 11, 1946. Sworn in as a police officer in N.Y.C. on November 1, 1950 and retired department 1 June 15, 1972. Lived in New York on Long Island and then moved to Florida to enjoy the warm sunny weather. Survivors include his loving wife Anna who often called Peter "Mr. Wonderful." Stepfather to Louis Montalbano (Angela) of Amityville, NY and Roseann Broy (Steve) of Bayshore, NY; grandchildren Kimberley Carpenter (Jason), Kristie Broy and Stephen L. Broy, Louis C. Montalbano, Gina Montalbano and great grand- daughter Kailey M. Carpenter. Beloved brother-in-law to John, Barbara and Betty Robson. He was preceeded in death by sisters Anna Gangi and Margaret Savone and stepson William S. Montalbano. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, 735 Fleming Street, Sebastian. A prayer service will be at 7:30 PM followed by military honors provided by the Sebastian River Area Veterans Honor Guard.
