Recreation Advisory Committee
February 25, 2008
Called to order by the Chairman: Roll Call: The following members were present
Mr. Wright, Mrs. White, Mrs. Solomon Mrs. Falco, absent excused Mr. Kagan -absent
(note - Mr Kagan arrived at S : S SPM)
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary
Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the minutes of January 28, 2008 by Mrs.
Solomon second Mrs. White, passed unanimously
Old Business: Riverview Park improvements -postponed to next meeting
Inventory -Chris is still working on list
Mr. Wright asks about the volleyball court
New Business: Mrs. Solomon wants to know if there is public interest for the farmers
market. Mr. Wright says community interest is mandatory. Mrs. Solomon questions the
rental fee for the park use. Mrs. White asks if it can be done behind city hall.
Chris says he will have to add Easy Street fencing to next years budget.
Public input: Al Paternoster says farmers market is good idea and feels it should be
pursued.
Chairman's Matters: Don speaks on the impact fees and requests a copy of latest figures
and where the money has been spent.
Members matters: Joanne asks if Mr. Wright met with the City Manager and City Clerk
he said yes.
Mr. Kagan arrived at 5:55 PM
Mr. Wright asks that Mrs. Solomon be given a copy of the comp plan.
MR. Kagan asks to be brought up to speed.
Staff Comments: Impact fees can not be used for maintenance must be used for new
items
Next meeting is March 24th, 2008

Motion to adjourn by Mr. Kagan second Mrs. Solomon passed unanimously
