Recreation Advisory Committee
September 24, 2007
Called to order by the Chairman: Roll Call: The following members were present
Mr. Wright, Mrs. Falco, Mr. Barth, Mr. Kagan ,Mrs. White, Mrs. Palfi is absent excused
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary
Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the minutes of July 23, 2007 by Mr. Kagan
second Mr. Barth, passed unanimously
Old Business: Riverview Park Update -Secretary advised the lighting project is under
way at this time
Community Center -Removed from the budget
Capital Improvements for this year $10,000 for Riverview only thing approved.
Comp Plan Discussion: Don talks about the County Impact Review Committee and
sharing their budget.
A Parks Discussion at the next meeting creating a list, location and facilities at each

Chairman's Matters: Next meeting need to create a capital improvement and inventory
list
Member Comments: Gary is leaving this is his last meeting.
Joann spoke reference the comp plan and said she read the whole thing.
Mrs. Falco happy to see beautification of Riverview.
Jeff Frustrated at Council. Next year all were doing is Riverview Park need to focus on
Sebastian Residents not spend millions on boat ramp. Wanted to know if there was a plan
for the improvements at Riverview for next year. Secretary advises there is nothing
drawn up yet for the future amenities.
Gary says council doesn't put any credence in what we recommend. Says the dog park is
too small
Staff Comments :None
Next meeting 10-22-07 Old Business: Riverview Status, Hand ball courts, Maintenance
budget for this year. Wants to hold the November meeting at Riverview Park.

New Business for next Meeting : Create a Park Inventory list with amenities similar to
the one passed out at the meeting.
