Page 1 of 2 NESBIT BERNARD RYALL JR. Coyle, Carter, 1 View /Sign Guestbook N.B. RYALL JR. Nesbit Bernard Ryall Jr., 86, died June 2, 2008 at Indian River Medical Center. Born May 25, 1922 in Sebastian, Florida to citrus and Indian River County pioneers Helen Kroegel and Neb Ryall Sr., Neb graduated from Vero Beach High School (class president 1940), attended Georgia Tech University, and served in the Air Force during WWII. He was a citrus grower and past president and chairman of Ryall Groves INC, United Indian River Packers and Indian River Citrus Sales. As an avid waterman he won many titles in powerboat and multi -hull sailboat racing. His love of the water was shared equally with his passion for the University of Florida Gator sports. As a grower of Premium Orchid Island and Indian River Grapefruit, he and his late brother Albert were always working to be good stewards of their land and were often leaders in new methods of irrigation and maintenance design. His life was dedicated to his family, citrus, and his passion to create things with his hands. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rachel; their 2 children Alan (Dr. Christine) Ryall, Vero Beach; Judy (Gregg) Carter, Vero Beach: 5 grandchildren, Lauren (Jordan) Arlington, Va.; Nathan Ryall, Ft. Worth, Tx.; Alyson Ryall, Vero Beach; David Vero Beach; Daniel Carter, Vero Beach. A memorial service will be held June 6 at 2 p.m. at Community Church of Vero Beach (1901 23rd St Vero Beach). A private graveside service will follow at the Sebastian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) or to the charity of your choice. At 11:39 am, Wednesday, June 4th, 2008, Alan Ryall called Janice back to see if Nesbitt could go into the next lot to save the hickory tree on lot 16.
