Taylor, 67, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away at Indian River Medical Center, on February 10, 2014, following an extended illness. She was born in Lexington, NC, and moved to Vero Beach at the age of five with her family. She graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1964 and later attended Jones Business College in Orlando. Upon graduation, Judy returned to the family business in 1967 and continued working at Keen's Market until 1995. Survivors include her husband of 35 1/2 years, Joel D. "Buddy" Taylor, Jr.; stepdaughter, Rhonda Taylor Hall and 2 granddaughters; sister, Frances K. Clark of Vero Beach; brother, Jerry L. Keen of Vero Beach and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy L. and Hilda T. Keen. Thank you for providing us with the document from your mother, Rosalee Hume for our records. It is often difficult with some of our older plots to keep tabs on descendants of the original purchasers and disposition of the remaining lots. Your action will help us keep our records in proper order. As I understand from your letter and my discussions with Kip Kelso, when the time occurs, your mother Rosalee T. Hume's cremains will be interred in lot 32 with James Hume, Arzie Dean Taylor's cremains will be interred lot 29 with Joel Duane Taylor, and Elizabeth Ann Walther and Joel Duane Taylor (Jr.) will share lot 28. This will leave lot 35 remaining. If this information is not correct, please notify me as soon as you can and we will correct it. Your letter and this letter will become part of the record for the CE Taylor plot. All full cemetery lots allow one full interment, or one full interment and one cremain, or two cremains. As an aside, I knew your father and mother and actually interviewed your mother for our City newsletter mpny years ago when she designed the Kroegel statue. Taylor Cemetery Lot Dear Ms. Maio: Recently my cousins, Elizabeth Ann Walther and Joel Duane Taylor, contacted me to get permission from my mother, Rosalee T. Hume, to have their cremains placed in the C. E. Taylor plot in the City of Sebastian Cemetery. Rosalee is the only surviving child of C. E. Taylor. She is in a nursing home and is unable to sign the letter to give permission. I am her daughter, Ellen Schmidt and have Durable Power of Attorney to handle all of her affairs. Her lawyer is John Evans of Dill and Evans, P.L. Attorneys at Law, in Sebastian. I talked to Kip Kelso about how to handle this. He suggested I write a letter for Mother, have it notarized and sign as her - attorney -in -fact and send it to you. Please see the enclosed document. He also suggested that my Aunt, Arzie Dean Taylor, also write a letter to give permission for her children to be interred with her and her late husband, Joel Duane Taylor. Taylor's lot Unit One Block 2. They would like to be placed in the spaces with their father Joel Duane Taylor and mother Arzie Dean Taylor. At present, there is a vault in Joel Duane's space and Arzie Dean is still living. I am Rosalee T. Hume, daughter of C. E. Taylor deceased, his only surviving child.
