Recreation Advisory Committee
July 28, 2008
Called to order by the Chairman: Roll Call: The following members were present
Mr. Wright, Mrs. White, Mrs. Falco, Mts. Brown
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy,
Rebbeca Grohall
Approval of Minutes: 6-23-08 Motion by Mrs. Falco, Second Mrs. Brown passed
unanimously,
Old Business: Color wheel discussion
Rebecca is present with the wheel It is decided that she and Chris will pick some colors
get the corresponding stain color and bring back to the next meeting
Schumann Park -Slab needs fixed -water fountain not working
Gene Parents, vice president of the Friendly Tennis Club speaks to the committee
Presents the committee with a drawing of their wish lists
Mrs. Brown says there are swings missing and the basketball court needs work
Joanne says they need places to sit there like at Friendship Park
Mr. Wright says tie playground equipment needs work is dangerous and the basketball
court is gone
Committee feels two basketball courts would be better than 1 court and 1 tennis court
Motion by Mrs. Brown says to resurface existing and put in two basketball courts
2na by Joanne passed unanimously
Also support the improvements by the tennis club minus the tennis court
Correct the safety items at the swings, clean up graffiti and paint
Mr. Wright wants Schumann Park back on the agenda next month
Also Riverview Park for the next meeting also
New Business: Green Market -Remind Mr. Minner to talk to Council
No public input:
Chairman's Matters: Still looking for members
Members Comments: Mrs. Falco Glad Fountain coming in two weeks and also glad to
see we had some public input on Schumann Park

Mrs. Brown Went to Schumann Park today -Glad we had public and hope the
renovations are done. Interested about Green Market and would be happy about movies
in the park.
Mrs. White Glad we are moving forward and making plans
