Scott Nelson, member
Robin Graves, member
Marge Reynolds, Board Liaison
We arrived at project site at 8am 8:30am and began work at 8:50 am.
On June 6, 2009 the Natural Resources Board of Sebastian met at Stonecrop park to do a
pepper busting and clearing of invasive plants. The participants started cutting out Brazilian
pepper, vines, and other invasive exotic vegetation. The city supplied tools, employees to help
and the means to haul the brush away.
We had 2 volunteers from MRC, 3 board members, the city liaison, 1 citizen which became a
board member, Eric Spokas, and 4 city workers in attendance to total 48 hours labor. Robin
Graves had to leave early.
The group succeeded in removing 8 flat bed trailer loads, and 8 large trash bags which equaled
approximately 160 Ibs of garbage. Special thanks to KIRB for providing gloves, and trash bags.
Field trip ended at approximately 12:30pm
