A nine hole golf course primarily for instructional purposes. This could be used to introduce interested persons to the game of golf and provide low cost instruction for them. It could be a source of income for the city. As far as the instructor(s), we could possibly ask for volunteers from the many golf enthusiasts in the city. 2. A small area by the airport for aircraft enthusiasts to view the various airplanes as the arrive and depart. Speakers could be setup so that the transmissions from the cockpit of these aircrafts could be heard. It would be good for people learning to fly to listen to actual radio transmissions as it would also help them in becoming familiar with using the radio and its phraseology. 3.A park for bicycle riders. Thanks, Jerome Adams 8/13/2009 Just a note: These are being sent early because I will be on Vacation from August 21 2009 through August 30 2009. I will return in time for the August 31 2009 meeting. If you have any problems between now and then please forward them to Chris McCarthy at 228 -7054. 5) Old Business: Schumann Park Riverview Park Stormwater Park Easy Street George Street ADA 6) New Business FRDAP Grant CITY OF HOME OF PELICAN ISLAND 1225 MAIN STREET SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA 32958 TELEPHONE (772) 228 -7052 FAX (772) 228 -7077 AGENDA CITY OF SEBASTIAN RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE July 27, 2009 5:30 PM 1) Call Meeting to Order 2) Pledge of Allegiance 3) Roll Call 4) Approval of Minutes: Regular meeting 6 -22 -09 7) Input from Public 8) Chairman's Matters 9) Member comments 10) Staff Comments 11) Set next meeting date and agenda 11) Adjourn ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS MEETING (OR HEARING) WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE HEARD.
