We arrived at project site at 8am and began work shortly after.
On October 24, 2009 the Natural Resources Board of Sebastian met at Stonecrop Park to do a
pepper busting and clearing of invasive plants. The participants started cutting out Brazilian
pepper, vines, and other invasive exotic vegetation. City employees were brought in to help and
haul the brush away.
We had 3 volunteers from MRC, 4 board members, 3 city staff, and 4 students from the local
college in attendance to total 52.5 hours labor.
The group succeeded in removing 7 dump truck loads, and 1 large trash bag of recycled
material.
Field trip ended at approximately 11:30am
