We arrived at project site at 8:OOam and began work shortly after.
On February 6, 2010 the Natural Resources Board of Sebastian met at the CR 512 project area,
which is located behind the city's Public Works Compound, to do a pepper busting and clearing
of invasive plants. The participants started cutting out Brazilian pepper and other invasive
exotic vegetation. City employees were brought in to help and haul the brush away.
We had 2 volunteers, 2 board members, and 3 city staff in attendance to total 27 hours labor.
The group succeeded in removing 5 dump truck Toads to total 5 tons of Brazilian pepper, and 1
trash bag of recyclable material to total 8 pounds of garbage.
Field trip ended at approximately 12:30am
