He was born in Whittemore, Michigan and spent most of his life in Tawas City, Michigan and had lived in Sebastian for 7 years coming from Gladwin, Michigan. Grant worked as a Sales Representative in Real Estate. He was a member of the US Marine Corps for 17 years and served as a Staff Sergeant in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Sebastian. Grant was heavily involved in many Civic Activities for the City of Gladwin, MI and the community of Gladwin, MI voted him Senior Citizen of the Year. He obtained his Masters Degree in Business from the University of Alabama and was working towards to obtaining his Doctorate. Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Eleanor Wood of Sebastian; sons, Skyler Wood of Columbus, OH, Jacob Wood of Seattle, WA; stepsons, Randy & Joel Wood both of Gladwin, MI; stepdaughter, Krysta Brubaker of Glenwood, Colorado; sisters, Dorothy Kusey of Gladwin, MI, Virginia (Wayne) Swenson of Moorhead, MN; 10 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet (Irwin) Snyder; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Sandra) Cuddie and David (Susan) Cuddie; and numerous nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on January 8, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sebastian, FL. Interment will be at a later date in Sebastian Cemetery, Sebastian, FL.
