A Spoil Island Clean Up will be Saturday, May 8th at 9:00 am. Everyone will be meeting
at the Main Street Boat Ramp. Kayaks Etc. will be volunteering there services for use of
kayaks. Ms. Graves will follow up with Sebastian Power Squadron and Fish'n Chics as
possible volunteer groups.
The Eagle Scouts will be doing a field trip to construct the picnic tables and fire pits on
Saturday, March 27th at Spoil Island IR1. They would like our assistance, which would
be a good idea. There will be a large group out there including the Boy Scouts
volunteers, FDEP and the NRB. As long as we are out there working and we fill out the
appropriate form this will count toward one of our official cleanups. We would meet at
the Main Street Boat Ramp. Ms. Reynolds will get the start time but it will probably be
around 8:00 am or 9:00 am.
The field trip using the pontoon boat to survey the Spoil Island will be on Friday, April
30th at 6:OOpm, meeting at the Main Street Boat Ramp. It is a large island so this would
be fine.
