A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, DECLARING INTENT TO DESIGN AESTHETIC LANDSCAPE AND
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS TO THE US 1 CORRIDOR WITHIN CITY LIMITS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a goal of the City of Sebastian is to promote and improve the ambiance and decor of
its major thoroughfares; and,
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this goal, the City of Sebastian aims to make certain improvements
along US 1 from North Central Avenue to Sebastian Boulevard, within the City limits; and,
WHEREAS, these improvements will help revitalize the area, provide greater business exposure,
and better delineate on- street parking; and,
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a professional agreement with the engineering firm of
Schulke, Bittle & Stoddard, LLC to achieve these goals.
NOW THEREFORE, be it received by the Council of the City of Sebastian as follows:
Section 1. DIRECTION. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to administer said
improvements in conformity with the rules and regulation of the Florida Department of Transportation.
Section 2. CONFLICTS. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
The foregoing Resolution was moved for ad9ption by Council Member (°j. The
motion was seconded by Council Member 701/ / and upon being put to a vote, the vote
was as follows:

Council Member Richard H. Gillmor

The Mayor thereupon declared this Resolution duly passed and adopted this 13th day of July, 2011.
