Ginsburg City Manager, Al Minner Supervisor of Elections and Other Officials Present: Supervisor of Elections, Kay Clem Attorney Brian Connelly, representing the Supervisor of Elections Deputy Supervisor of Elections, Leslie Swan Voter Registration Coordinator, Kathy Crockett Poll Worker Coordinator, Martha Osborne Six Additional Poll Workers (Ms. Crockett and Ms. Osborne and the Six Additional Members were separated into four tow person teams) One Deputy Sheriff Call to Order The Sebastian Canvassing Board Meeting convened in the Canvassing Room of the Supervisor of Elections Office for the post election audit and called their meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Approve Canvassing Board minutes for November 3, 2009 and November 5, 2009. MOTION by Mr. Ginsburg, and SECOND by Mr. Minner to approve the November 3 and 5, 2009 Canvassing Board minutes passed on voice of 3 -0. Kay Clem said the teams would be counting ballots from Precinct #203, which was previously randomly selected by the Canvassing Board. Leslie Swan provided information as attached hereto: • Agenda • Procedural Information for Post - Election Certification Voting System Audit • FS 101.591 Voting System Audit • Rule 1S-5.026 Post - Election Certification Voting System Audit • Ballot Security Information • Printout of Post Election Manual Audit Power Point The teams then counted the ballots for Precinct #203 in order of early voting ballots, absentee ballots and election day ballots. Sebastian Canvassing Board Post Election Audit of Precinct #203 Tuesday, November 10, 2009 Page Two One ballot which had been previously counted during the original count was questioned by the teams and presented to the Canvassing Board for a determination. The Canvassing Board unanimously agreed upon the intent of the voter and the ballot and accepted the ballot. The result of the manual count was the same as the original vote and the Canvassing Board signed off on the Voting System Post Election Audit Report form and received a copy of it (attached) as well as: Complete Audit Team Worksheet Precinct Summary Final Official Count for Precinct 203 form 11/9 The City Attorney and Deputy Sheriff witnessed the placement of Precinct #203 back into the vault by Leslie Swan.
