Page 1 of 1 Gloria M. Thomas � GLORIA M. THOMAS Gloria "Gio" Thomas passed away peacefully on June 15, 2012. She was born August 24, 1924 in New York, NY. During the course of her life she married William J. Thomas, and raised seven children in Levittown, NY. They moved to Sebastian from Sunrise FI., 35 years ago. Together they enjoyed boating, fishing, and clamming along the Indian River. Gloria was an excellent cook and baker, who enjoyed her Wednesday night poker games with friends and family. She also valued her time working at Sally Dale Wimbrow Realtors. To her 16 grandchildren, she was known as "Grandma" or "Nana", and to some of her 9 great grandchildren, she was lovingly referred to as "GG" . After the death of her husband in 1997, Gloria continued to live a happy life here in Sebastian, where she would always be found on her front porch, waving "hello" to the people passing by. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her seven children: Patricia (Walter) Fithian, Nancy (George) Russo, William Thomas, Jr., Joanne Morse, Lorraine (David) Guizerix, Susan (Kevin) Kelly and Dorothy (Michael) McCue, and one of her six siblings Mary Joan O'Carroll, 29 nieces, & nephews plus many grand nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
