MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 27, 2012
The Sebastian Parks and Recreation Committee was called to order by the Chairman.
Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Mr. Sims, Mr. Simpson,
Mr. Lucier, Mrs. White, Mr. Tenerowicz Mr. Adams and Mrs. Webster. Staff inembers
present were Linda Kinchen, Secretary; Al Minner, City Manager.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Tenerowicz made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 27, 2012 meeting.
Second by Mr. Sims passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
OJECT UPDATES:
Mr. Minner tells the committee Schumann Park is underway, BSSC Field renovation is
done, still need to put up the shades,
Next will be the shade pavilions at the Creative playground and the playground
expansion.
Mr. Simpson to speak to council on September 26th, 2012.
PUBLIC INPUT:
Jim Sunnycalb — Dog Park shows pictures on the website — Easy Street Trail signs
marking the length need to go up. Says Everyone should come to the September llth,
service at the park.
CHAIRMAN'S MATTERS;
Park update for the next meeting by members.
Mr. Adams has Blossom, Mr. Sims has Schumann, Mr. Tenerowicz has Filbert and
Bryant, Mrs. White has Easy Street, Mrs. Webster has Hardee Park, Mr. Lucier will take
Garden Club Park and Mr. Simpson has George Street
MEMBERS MATTERS:
Mrs. White asks about the bike signs and are we going to make a route. Mr. Simpson says
we were going to wait for Blueways and Greenways. She states would like to do it now.

Would like to put the map on the website and send it to the Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Webster — Recycling at Ballfield — would like to know if they can get a can for the
fields like we use for the events. She says the skate park has one — Mr. Minner will get
with her — Seniors will move into the old KIRB building — She wanted to know if they
need anything — Mr. Minner tells her to call Andrea Coy to find out what they need.
Mr. Tenerowicz asks if lights at Easy Street are a problem. Also he says the football field
practice field needs to be used instead of the main field if not playing a game or we will
be repairing the field all the time.
STAFF COMMENTS:
Working on the budget and finalizing the projects
Next meeting September 24`h, 2012
With no other business to come before the Parks and Recreation Committee, Chairman
Simpson declared the meeting adjourned at 6:25 PM.
Approved October 22, 2012 Regular Meeting.
