Gene Harris % City Hall Sebastian, Florida 32958 Dear Mayor, I was brought to my attention this afternoon that Mrs. Jane Holmes spoke to you in reference to the head stone for her daughters grave, Lori Jacobs, please be advised that I sat in my office for approximately one hour Friday, as Mrs. Holmes wished to discuss the details of her daughters grave being relocated to the Sebastian Cemetery rather than in Wabasso. I assisted Mrs. Holmes in locating 3 plots, adjacent to each other , for her daughter, husband and herself. We spoke in detail and I gave her a copy of the Rules and Regulations of the Cemetery stating that she could not use the head stone that was purchased and used at the Wabasso cemetery and she stated that she would contact Merritt Monument, who constructed the marker , and inquire as to whether or not they could reconstruct a marker that would comply with the rules of the Sebastian Cemetery. Mrs. Holmes has the right of course to appeal to the City Council, however , I felt that it was important that you know she was explained the rules and given a copy of them, especially since the conversation revolved around the above ground marker that was previously purchased.
