REGULAR MEETING
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2013 — 6 P.M.
Council Member Coy called the Board of Adjustment Meeting to order at 6 p.m.
2. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

4. ANNOUNCEMENTS: None
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Meeting of October 9, 2013
MOTION by Mr. Gillmor and SECOND by Mr. Adams to approve the October 9, 2013
minutes passed on a voice vote of 3 -0.
6. OLD BUSINESS: None
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. QUASI- JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING:
SEBASTIAN INLET MARINA & TRADING CO: IN REGARDS TO PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1615 INDIAN RIVER DRIVE TO BE DEVELOPED AS A 16 -UNIT MOTEL, IS REQUESTING
THE FOLLOWING VARIANCES:
1. REDUCTION OF THE SIDE YARD SETBACK ALONG THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINE FROM 5 FEET TO 2.5 FEET.
2. REDUCTION OF THE FRONT YARD SETBACK ALONG ALONG INDIAN
RIVER DRIVE FROM 10 FEET TO 5 FEET.
3. REDUCTION OF THE PERIMETER LANDSCAPE STRIP ALONG THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINE FROM 10 FEET TO 2.5 FEET.
4. ELIMINATION OF THE HEDGE REQUIREMENT ALONG THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINE.
5. REDUCTION OF THE DRIVE AISLE WIDTH FROM 25 FEET TO 21 FEET.
6. REDUCTION OF THE PARKING STALL LENGTH OF THE STANDARD AND
HANDICAPPED SPACES FROM 20 FEET TO 19 FEET.

Ms. Coy opened the quasi - judicial public hearing at 6:01 p.m. and said, prior to moving
forward with the procedures for the hearing, in fairness to the applicant, who had spent
thousands of dollars in preparation for this event, and because we don't have a full
complement Council, offered a motion.
MOTION by Ms. Coy and SECOND by Mr. Adams, that we move for a continuation until
Monday, December 2nd at 6 pm when there can be a full complement of Council to
make this decision, that he also put an investment in.
The City Attorney clarified that is to defer the hearing until Monday, December 2nd at 6
p.m.

11. Being no further business, Council Member Coy said we would reconvene Monday, December
2nd at 6 p.m. and adjourned the Board of Adjustment meeting at 6:02 p.m.
