The improvements to this ramp will greatly facilitate recreational motorized boating on marine and estuarine waters within the state of Florida. It will also aid in preservation of these waters by preventing erosion and the inappropriate use of the shorelines. ** The Indian River Lagoon is home to more than 4,300 species of animals and plants. There are many popular game fish which attracts many boaters from all over the region. The Lagoon's populations of game fish, manatees, sea turtles, wading birds, and dolphins make it the most diverse estuary on Earth. Its preservation is essential.
