The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has received and processed your Notice of intent to
Use Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge from Construction Activities that Disturb Five or More Acres
of Land (NOI) and the accompanying processing fee. This letter serves to acknowledge that your NOI is
complete, your fee is paid -in -full, and your project is covered under the generic permit effective December
5, 2002. Your coverage under the generic permit will expire December 4, 2007.
The Construction GP was issued under the provisions of Section 403.0885, Florida Statutes, and
applicable rules of the Florida Administrative Code. Construction activities that disturb five acres or more
of land area are considered industrial activities under 40 CFR Part 122.26(b)(14). Until the Construction
GP is terminated, modified or revoked, permittees that have properly obtained coverage under this permit
are authorized to disturb land, to construct and operate facilities, and to discharge to surface waters in
accordance with the terms and conditions of this permit.
Your project identification number is FLR101-084. Please make reference to this number on all future
correspondence including any checks made out to the Department.
This letter is not your permit. Your NOI allows you to proceed with construction by complying with the
Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge from Construction Activities that Disturb Five or More Acres of
Land (DI=P Document No. 62- 621.300(4)(a)), a copy of which you may obtain online at
http: / /www.dep.state.fl.us /water /stormwater /npdes or by contacting the NPDES Stormwater Notices
Center.
Key provisions of the permit are (1) implementation of your storm water pollution prevention plan
(SWPPP) that was required to be developed prior to NOI submittal, and (2) retention of records required
by the permit, including retention of a copy of the SWPPP at the construction site from the date of project
initiation to the date of final site stabilization.
If your project will continue discharging stormwater associated with industrial activity beyond expiration of
the current coverage, request for continued coverage shall be made by filing a completed NOI at least 2
days before expiration of the current coverage period. If you discontinue discharging stormwater
associated with industrial activity, or otherwise qualify to discontinue coverage under the Construction GP,
you may terminate permit coverage by filing a Notice of Termination of Generic Permit Coverage (NOT).
If you have any questions concerning this acknowledgment letter, please contact the NPDES Stormwater
Notices Center at (866) 336 -6312 or (850) 297 -1232.
