to Hardy Park Dam.
• Project included dredging canal for drainage
capacity.
• Seawalls were 9o% in City right of way and
io% were on private property.
• Dredging funded with grant and seawall was
bond funded.
• Total Collier Canal was $4.9 million.

• Field investigation of the canal seawalls
along Joy Haven during Oct 2014.
• Identified three locations of damaged
seawalls at 197,219 and 243 Joy Haven.
• Researched past documents and right of
way maps of properties.
• Conducted property survey to locate City
right of way within canal.
• Subject seawalls along Joy Haven are not
within City's right of way.
• City mailed letters to the three residents
with damaged seawalls.

findings with Joy Haven residents.
