HomeMy WebLinkAbout07222015 CRA Agenda (w Council)CRA MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM TITLE: RECOMMENDATION: COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TRANSMITTAL FORM 22 July 2015 Wastewater Hook -Up Grant Application Titone Properties, LLC, 1753 Indian River Drive Approve grant application for $5,000 BACKGROUND: The Sebastian Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) established a Wastewater Hook -Up (WWHU) Grant Program on 09 January 2013 to encourage the removal of private septic systems and lessen the nutrient loading of the Indian River Lagoon. In accordance with the WWHU Grant Program, Titone Properties, LLC has made application for the $5,000 grant for a residence located at 1753 Indian River Drive. A complete grant application has been provided, including a copy of the deed, proof of taxes paid, and a wastewater connection design plan signed and sealed by Todd N. Smith, P.E. Since the property is landlocked with no frontage on Indian River Drive, the engineer for the project has successfully obtained a non-exclusive 15 foot utility easement from Indian River County to run their water and sewer lines along the northern portion of the Archie Smith Fish House property. This easement was granted by the Indian River County Commission on 14 July 2015. Staff has provided a budget account summary for the overall program.
