The Board of County Commissioners, at their regular
meeting on March 20th, 1990 discussed the proposed Ordinance
relating to fluoridation of all water systems within Indian
River County which you sent to us for review. It was the
Board's decision that this proposed ordinance should be
reviewed by the City of Sebastian City Council.
Indian River County does not want to ask for
fluoridation of plants with less than 500 customers, and we
already provide water to Vero Highlands. Therefore, the
only remaining water treatment plant is the General
Development plant located within the City of Sebastian.
Indian River County Utilities does provide fluoridation in
all of its permanent plants.
