Your current State of Florida license for Sebastian Municipal Airport requires that an
inspection of the facility be conducted. This is to notify you that the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) Aviation Office will be inspecting your facility on January 26, 2015.
Prior to the inspection, please ensure that the primary surface for all runways is mowed
and clear of all hazards in accordance with Chapter 14-60.007(8)(a), Florida Administrative
Code (FAC). Also ensure that the safety area for all runways is graded and capable of
supporting the occasional passage of aircraft in accordance with Chapter 14-60.007(5),
FAC.
The airport owner, lessee, manager, or designated representative of the airport must
accompany the inspector and participate in the airport inspection in accordance with
Chapter 14-60.006(2)(c), FAC. Approximately one hour will be spent on each runway, so
comfortable attire is recommended. The following items should also be made available
during the inspection in accordance with Chapter 14-60.007(7), FAC.
1. Two 80 BC Fire Extinguishers
2. Operational Public Telephone
3. Coast Guard Approved Life Preserver (Seaplane Bases Only)
