The specific status of designated work efforts for this project are summarized below. A. Labor Attend project kick-off meeting: Work efforts outlined under this task were 100% complete as of Progress Report No. 1. 2. Prepare/submit Proiect OAPP: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 3. Install equipment and perform monitoring at Stonecrop Basin a. Install monitoring equipment: Work efforts outlined under this task were 100% complete as of Progress Report No. 1. b. Routine weekly monitoring: Routine weekly monitoring of inflow and outflow at the Stonecrop Basin site was continued during January. This period constitutes the third of 6 scheduled months of monitoring at this site. ERD field personnel visited the Stonecrop Basin study site 1-2 times each week to retrieve the collected samples, verify operation and calibration of the flow monitoring equipment, perform general equipment maintenance, and retrieve stored information on flow rates and rainfall. A total of 6 composite samples were collected at inflow site 1 (dual 60 -inch CMP), with a total of 1 composite sample collected at inflow site 2 (18 -inch CMP). A total of 5 composite discharge samples were collected at the pond outfall. Copies of field and laboratory data are included for your use. Overall, a total of 36 composite inflow and outflow samples have been collected at this site. 4. Perform monitoring at canal sites a. Routine biweekly baseflow monitoring: Routine biweekly baseflow monitoring was continued at the four surface water monitoring sites (SR 512 bridge, West Canal, Radial Gate, and Elkcam Dam) during January. ERD personnel visited each of the four sites on a biweekly basis to perform field measurements of water flow rate and collect baseflow samples for analysis in the ERD laboratory. Field measurements of flow rate were performed at each of the four sites using the velocity/cross-sectional area method, as outlined in the Scope of Services for this project. Three separate biweekly monitoring events were collected at each of the four sites during January and returned to the ERD laboratory for analysis of listed parameters. A total of 12 samples were collected for analysis under this task during January. Overall, a total of 36 baseflow samples have been collected under this task. SEBASTIAMNVOICE Mr. Ralph Brescia, P.E. A total of 9 of the scheduled 13 baseflow monitoring events have now been completed. b. Perform storm event sampling: One storm event was collected at each of the four sites during January. Composite storm event samples were analyzed for samples collected at the South Prong (SR 512) and Radial Gate sites by combining portions of discrete samples collected at 4 -hour intervals over a 96 -hour period. At the West Canal and Elkcam Dam sites, each of the 24 discrete samples were analyzed individually to evaluate changes in water quality characteristics at these sites during storm events. Flow -weighted characteristics for the two storm events were calculated using the same methodology used for compositing storm event samples. A total of 8 storm event samples have been collected at the 4 sites. C. Perform particle size distribution: Particle size distributions were performed on 2 composite baseflow samples (Elkcam and South Prong) and on 3 composite stormwater samples (West Canal, Elkcam and South Prong). A total of 5 grain size distribution analyses have now been performed. 5. Estimate baseflow and runoff volumes: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 6. Develop loading estimates: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 7. Prepare/submit SJRWMD OA/OC forms: QA/QC forms required by the District have been completed for the month of January and have been submitted to the District. Work efforts outlined under this task are now 40% complete. 8. Attend review meeting: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 9. Prepare Draft Report: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 10. Attend review meeting: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time. 11. Prepare/submit Final Report: No work efforts have been performed under this task at this time.
