Mark,
Thanks for scheduling this preconstruction meeting with Mancils. Per our meeting, we have the following:
• Submitted revised final plans (handed plans to Cindy Watson, who will be City PM for the project)
• Reviewed the construction with the revised added 48" RCP on the eastside, added swale along the road
(eastside) and added sidewalk
• Question and concern regarding the demuck which appears to be needed
• Demucking is not a pay item on the submitted cost proposal
• Mancil could excavate the material and spread along the flat area
• There should be sufficient back -fill material for the pipe fill, any extra can be hauled (city trucks)
• The 48" RCP will require 4 box structures per the revised plans
• Same construction staging area with the project limits
• Contractor to walk the area prior to any construction activity to ensure no impacts to environmental issues
(gopher tortoises)
• Minimal MOT, but concerns with traffic from Collier Club and Golf Course
• City is ok for Mancil to close the intersection at the golf course for two day to complete the intersection
• Mancil will need to coordinate the intersection closure with city staff
• Roadway will be reconstructed with new base and asphalt concrete
• The existing 42" drainage pipe within the canal with the slip line will need a box structure and 24 ft of pipe (no
mitered end)
• Change the sod on the golf course from Bahia to 419 Sod.
• Mark to review and provide new schedule and cost breakdown for the construction
• City will review schedule and cost estimate and issue anew NTP.
• Tentative start date is two week (Nov 10th).
