LEGAL NOTICE FOR THE CITIES OF FELLSMERE,
SEBASTIAN AND VERO BEACH CANVASSING BOARDS
MUNICIPAL ELECTION - NOVEMBER 7, 2023
Per F.S. 101.572 — All Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public. Notice is hereby
given that meetings of the City Canvassing Boards will be held at the Indian River County
Supervisor of Elections Office, 4375 431d Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32967 on the following

A candidate, a political party official, a political committee official, oran authorized designee
thereof, is allowed to observe the duplication of ballots and shall be granted reasonable
access upon request to review or inspect ballot materials before canvassing or tabulation.

In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, these meetings are open to the public. Any
challenge of a vote -by -mail ballot must be made before the ballots are canvassed, F.S.
101.68(2)(a). It may become necessary for the Canvassing Board to reconvene at times or
places other than specified above. If so, the location, date, and time will be announced at
the conclusion of the previous meeting, posted online at www.VotelndianRiver.aov. posted
on the door of the Supervisor of Elections Office, and posted on the door of the City Hall.
Note: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any
decision by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a
meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such
purpose, he or she may need to ensure that verbatim record of the proceedings is made,
which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if any person with a disability,
as defined by the ADA, needs special accommodations to participate in these proceedings,
then not later than two business days prior to the proceedings, he or she should contact
the Supervisor of Elections Office at 772-226-4700.

Un candidato, un funcionario de un partido politico, un funcionario de un comite politico o una persona
designada autorizada por estos, puede observar la duplicaci6n de boletas y se le otorgara acceso
razonable, previa solicitud, para revisar o inspeccionar los materiales de la boleta antes del escrutinio o
la tabulaci6n. *Complete y envie el formulario de solicitud disponible en www.VotelndianRiver.gov.
De acuerdo con la Ley Sunshine de Florida, estas reuniones estan abiertas al publico. Cualquier
impugnaci6n de una boleta de voto por correo debe hacerse antes de que se escruten las boletas, F.S.
101.68(2)(a). Puede ser necesario que la Junta de Escrutinio se vuelva a reunir en momentos o lugares
distintos a los especificados anteriormente. De ser asi, el lugar, la fecha y la hora se anunciaran al final
de la reuni6n anterior, se publicaran en linea en www.VotelndianRiver.ciov, se publicaran en la puerta de
la Oficina del Supervisor de Elecciones y en la puerta del Ayuntamiento.
La Secci6n 286.0105, Estatutos de Florida, establece que si una persona decide apelar cualquier decisi6n
de la junta, agencia o comisi6n con respecto a cualquier asunto considerado en una reuni6n o audiencia,
necesitara un registro de los procedimientos, y que, a tal efecto, debera asegurarse de que se levante acta
literal de to actuado, en la cual se incluiran los testimonios y pruebas en que se fundara el recurso.
De acuerdo con la Ley de Estadounidenses con Discapacidades (ADA), si cualquier persona con
una discapacidad, tal como la define la ADA, necesita adaptaciones especiales para participar en
estos procedimientos, entonces a mas tardar dos dias habiles antes del procedimiento, debe
comuniquese con la Oficina de la Supervisora de Elecciones al 772-226-4700.
