A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR
THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION PROGRAM FOR RENOVATIONS
AND UPGRADES TO RIVERVIEW PARK;. PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida manages the Land and Water Conservation Program including
the awarding of grant funds; and
WHEREAS, A priority of the City of Sebastian is to renovate and upgrade Riverview Park; and
WHEREAS, A grant application has been submitted to the State of Florida for $1,500,000.00
with a like budgeted match for future renovations and upgrades to Riverview Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. RECITALS. The recitals above are hereby adopted herein and determined to be
true, correct and the legislative intent of the City Council of the City of Sebastian.
SECTION 2. AUTHORIZATION. The submittal of the Land and Water Conservation
Program grant application for renovations and upgrades to Riverview Park is ratified. The City Manager
or designee is authorized to execute any applications for same.
SECTION 3. CONFLICT. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. SCRIVENER'S ERRORS. Sections of this Resolution may be renumbered or
re -lettered and corrections of typographical errors which do not affect the intent may be authorized by
the City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, without need of further action of City Council by
filing a corrected copy of same with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
The foregoing Resolution was moved for adoption by Council Member ,Tones
Motion was seconded by Council Member Nunn and, upon being put to a vote, the vote
was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared this Resolution duly passed and adopted this 28th day of February, 2024.
