INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA
and
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA
This Interlocal Agreement, entered into this 1 8th day September , 2001, by and
between INDLAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter
referred to as COUNTY, and the CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, a municipal corporation of the State
of Florida, hereinafter referred to as CITY, for the purpose of constructing a boat ramp at Schumann Lake.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969 (Chapter 163, F.S.) grants the
COUNTY and CITY the authority to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY and CITY recognize that each entity has certain responsibilities with
respect to the citizens of the County and the City and their recreation needs; and
WHEREAS, the CITY requested a $ 7,800 allocation from the Florida Boating Improvement Fund
for a boat ramp on Schumann Lake; and
and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY at its September 18, 2001 regular meeting approved the City's request;
WHEREAS, it is in the publ/c interest to set forth, by way of agreement, each entities
responsibilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms, conditions, promises, covenants and
premises hereinafter set forth and pursuant to the statutory authority contained in Chapter 163, F.S., the
COUNTY and CITY agree as follows:
1. The COUNTY will provide CITY with $7,800 from the Florida Boating Improvement Fund for
the construction of a boat ramp along Schumann Lake in Sebastian.
The CITY upon receipt of the $ 7,800 allocation and upon issuance of all necessary permits will
begin construction of the project. The allocation of these funds by the COUNTY is the limit of
participation by the COUNTY in the project
Pursuant to 163.01(11), Florida Statutes, this Interiocal agreement shall become effective upon
the filing of a fully executed copy with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County,
Florida.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this interlocal agreement to be executed
by their duly authorized officials on the day and year £trst written above.
