(Engineer) to provide professional engineering services associated with planning services for beautification of the segment of Main Street between U.S. Route 1 and Indian River Drive (Project} for City of Sebastian (City). SCOPE Or SERVICES Task 1. I+ea~sibility Study: Engineer will prepare a feasibility study to meet the project objectives as defined by the City. The concept plan shall generally entail beautification of the segment of Main Street between Route I and Indian River Drive. The Engineer will conduct a site visit and prepare conceptual sketches based upon (a) a site visit (b) a conceptual draft plan provided by the City on 1113/O5, and (c) site survey information as provided by the City. In Addition, the Engineer will identify state and federal permit issues and prepare. an estimate of probable construction costs. The Engineer will prepare a feasibility report and meet with the City to review these items. ' The Feasibility Study report will address the following items as identified by the City: I, realignment of Main Street and Indian River Drive 2. screen (conceal) boat ramp 3. beautify main street 4. address chamber parking 5. beautify adjacent City parcels b. maintain existing trees 7. consider Iandscape improvements 8. address stormwater management 9. consider walkways 10. consider historic lights OVyNER INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED TO F1~iGINEER Site Plan and Civil Engineering Drawings for adjacent upland facilities Location of existing facilities Topographic survey engineers • planners • ecologists • landscape architects • surveyors Mr. Minner November 17, 2005 Page 2 COMPENSATION Task 1. A lump sum fee of $4,850. ADDITIONAL SERVICES Engineer's services will not include the following, unless authorized as additional services and reimbursed in accordance with the 2005 Hourly Rate Schedule for Professional Services attached, plus reimbursable expenses: • Conceptual, Preliminary and Fnal design • Geotechnical investigations and recommendations • Enviromnental assessments • Surveys (provided under a separate agreement by Maptech, wholly owned subsidiary of Engineer) • Advertising and bidding Task services • Construction Task services • Shop drawing reviews • Record drawings • Traffic impact studies OTHER PROVISIONS This Agreement and 2005 Hourly Rate Schedule for Professional Services represent the entire understanding between City and Engineer with respect to the services to be provided by Engineer and may Drily be modified in writing and approved by both parties.
