City of Sebastian, Florida Subject: Presentation by the Iler Planning Group concerning an update relative to the implementation of the expanded Community Redevelopment Agency district, and enhancements to the existing district plan. Hass~ Date Submitted · September 4, 2003 For Agenda of: September 10, 2003 EXPENDITURE AMOUNT BUDGETED: APPROPRIATION REQUIRED: REQUIRED: SUMMARY Consistent with direction specified by the City Council, and the provisions as contained in the Finding of Necessity Report, the Iler Planning Group (IPG Inc.) commenced with implementation of the CRA expansion project. Further to this, IPG Inc. also embarked upon the task of updating and enhancing the existing CRA doctrines to provide more specific goals and objectives, along with guidelines, to govern implementation of the CRA plan. At this time IPG and staff are prepared to provide an update with regards to the status of said plans, as well as provide direction to the council concerning adoption and implementation of the revised plan. Further, an element of the expansion project included revisions to the legal description for the CRA, which will be provided at a later date, along with the resolution formally creating the new boundaries for the CRA. RECOMMENDED ACTION Staff recommends the Community Redevelopment Agency forward the CRA plan to the City Council for adoption during the October 22 City Council meeting.
