Carlisle; City Attorney Manny Anon, Jr. Other Officials Present [for all or cart of the testl: Indian River County: Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan Deputy Chief of Operations Maureen Houssell IT Manager Gary Gordon IT Specialist David Cruz Logistics & Equipment Manager Richie Lemoi Joseph Crowley Maxwell Tardif The Sebastian Canvassing Board convened at 8:55 a.m. (See agenda for meeting and canvassing board schedule attached) The Canvassing Board moved to the SOE warehouse to watch the ExpressVote machines that will be used by handicapped individuals power on, calibrate and display the lifetime vote count. The machines were then switched to voter mode and a sample ballot was cast for each of the four machines. At 9:12 am, eight DS200 voting machines were powered on to indicate the "poll was open" and 24 test ballots were inserted into each machine. One machine was programmed in Spanish to make sure the translation was working. Paper ballots from the ExpressVote test were also inserted to be included in the count. (Each precinct will have two machines.) At 9:30 am, the "polls were closed" and a tape report was printed and the modem connection claried from each DS200 machine. Each machine indicated the data was successfully sent. At 9:38 am, the Canvassing Board moved to the tabulation room to run the paper ballots in the D3850. Mr. Cruz then stored the results on a flash drive for sealed case. The machines were then "zeroed out' and the Board witnessed ballot paper inserted into the storage compartment of each DS850 and lock ties were put onto the storage compartment and air cards. (See log attached) Upon completion of the test, the Board signed the pre -election test certifications and the test reaorts. (See attached) At 10:25 am, the counted test ballots, backup tapes, flash drive and sign -in sheets were sealed in a transfer case with seal #0012016. (See attached). The board adjourned. Leslie R.
