� SEBASTIAN CITY COUNCIL
We, the undersigned, who play and enjoy the Sebastian
Municipal Golf Course, which we consider the "JEWEL" of our
city, would like to express our appreciation for the major
improvements in course maintenance and club management which
have occurred over the past year.
The many improvements in turf control, trimming of trees,
clearing of underbrush and other items too numerous to mention
have given the course an astonishing new look and has made it
far more enjoyable to the golfer.
The employment of a ,well qualified, PGA professional and staff
has enhanced the quality of the pro -shop, driving range and
other amenities. For the first time in years, all golfers and
especially newcomers are greeted with class and are soon made
aware that we have a first class, well operated golf course
where he or she is most welcome. The general atmosphere of
our club has changed from somewhat restrained to hospitable,
happy, friendly and professional.
It is also felt that having a well qualified PGA professional
is an advantage in the course maintenance area because he
oversees the ISS contractors. His knowledge of golf course
maintenance should influence the ISS contractors, thereby
improving our course.
Remaining are some drainage problems which are a product
of the original course design as well as a need for more cart
paths to protect the turf during wet weather. We feel sure
that these problems can be corrected as revenues increase due
to improved management.
We sincerely believe that all the above mentioned improvements
will attract more golfers to our city and in turn, increase
revenues.
We thank you for your far-sighted efforts to improve the
image of the club and course.

The attached is meant to inform you that many of your constituents are in favor of the present
management at the Sebastian municipal Golf Course and are in favor of their being continued as
the course managers.
The approximately 150 signatures are not all residents in Sebastian but most are, however all are
regular players at the course and asked to be included in the survey.
Please give this your consideration in the upcoming discussion on the subject of Golf Course
Management.

We, the undersigned members of the Sebastian Men's and
Women's Golf Association, as well as other golfers who utdte the
course, wish to notify the Sebastian City Council that we whole-
heartedly give the present professional maaagemeat of our city
coarse a NEW rated vote of confidence.
The course is maintained in .excellent condition. Management and
its employees provide a pleasant atmosphere and all activity is
centered on providing the golfers an enjoyable day at our golf
course,
