‘Rusty’ Roberts, in numerous public announcements, has stated that the bridge was to be rebuilt so there was a
2 track system. Unless something has changed, that is the latest info I have on that specifically. Mr. Roberts is

scheduled to make a public appearance at our 2 Council meeting in September. That would be a great time for you,
and me, to ask the question. That meeting is on Sept 24 beginning at 1830. The agenda is not set at this time so I

cannot give you a definite time he will testify---and, of course, he could cancel---but, he did commit to me for the 24
last week. As we get closer, please either call me or check our Council agenda on the city website
(www.cityofsebastian.org/public-information/meeting-agendas-2).
One of our Council Members, Ms. Andrea Coy, has been especially interested in the subject matter you have
raised. For that reason, I am cc ing her this reply.

Dear Mr. Griffin,
I’m contacting you as a resident of Micco and active in the Micco Homeowner’s Association
(MHOA).

We are preparing an inquiry to All Aboard Florida (AAF) concerning their plans for replacing the
Florida East Coast Railway Bridge. Rusty Roberts of AAF has reported at several forums the bridge
will be replaced. We learned in a recent conversation with Brevard County Public Works Director
John Denninghoff that he has no hard information on AAF’s plans for the bridge.
As the railroad will be adding a second set of tracks, MHOA has concerns that nearby homes may
need to be negatively impacted or acquired through eminent domain should the configuration of the
bridge change. In order to prevent a duplication of efforts and before sending our inquiry, we wanted
to determine if your city had any information on the proposed bridge replacements plans.
We appreciate your neighborly assistance and welcome any information you may have concerning
the proposed St. Sebastian Railroad Bridge replacement.
